I meant to track Simon's milestones from birth but sleep and sanity won out for the first little while so I'll just have to keep on it from here!
At 2 months, Matt and I are feeling like most parents I'm sure in that we're thinking that our child is very advanced. It doesn't hurt that the grandparents reinforce this as well :) At 2 months, Simon is:
• has an established nighttime routine - sleeping from 7:30pm to between 2:30am and 5:30am. I have finally caught onto this now and am sleeping at least 6 hours straight.
• very alert and aware - he loves the ceiling fan, the ceiling and talking to all his sheep when he's in his crib.
• is a pretty easy baby as long as he's well fed and rested, he is all smiles
• a happy baby first thing in the morning - his smiles make getting up early worth the effort
• likes to sleep with someone during the day - although at night he is sleeping independently in his crib
• weighs in at a whopping 14 lbs., 24.5 inches, wearing 3-6 month clothing (sometimes even 6-12 months), and is in size 2 diapers
• hates getting strapped into his car seat, being put down during the day, his stroller, getting burped
• has a little bit of a baby temper when the food doesn't come fast enough or when he has to stop to burp - thankfully we don't have to wait for a bottle to warm up!
• nicknamed chunk, little piggy, little monkey
• wearing clothes versus the pj's he wore for the first 6 weeks
• has found his voice - and is not shy at expressing himself!
• often has a very serious expression on his face
• has a baby mullet mixed with a baby mohawk
• the cutest baby ever :)
